Wait - BMW makes this? I was not aware - probably not available in US America.

They're extremely rare. At least where I live. I'm actually in St. Louis!
I've seen this one around a few times and was finally able to snag a picture of it today.

Yeah, they were sold in the US. There's also an M version. They stopped making the coupe when the Z4 switched to a retractable hard top in 09 or so.

The fact that this is rolling around St. Louis not too far away from where I live makes me insanely happy.

And the owner appears to have the spacial awareness of... well, the average BMW owner I guess.

Ladue, man. So many nice cars it's absurd.

Oh I know, I took Lindbergh to get on 40 more times than I could count this last year. I had a Range Rover Sport overload. Felt like such a peasant in my van.

Oh, it's the land of Range Rovers and Teslas out here.

they do make non M z4 coupes, but it's actually a little easier to find an M coupe of this body style, which features the s54 from the E46 M3.

these are great. The M's are really cheap too, $25k gets you one with less than 50k on it. It's a simple car, and it's actually pretty reliable (only n/a inline 6 engines available).
Get the M and you get the famous S54, oh and it weighs about 200 pounds less than the E46 M3.

The M version of this would be a blast to drive.

I'm such a shut-in - I'm surprised that this got by me. I didn't know about it, and have never seen one. Thanks for posting it.

I friggin' love the Z4 coupe. I hope to have a 3.0si or a M one day after the Datsun.
